Hunters Lodge Hotel, Crewe

The hotel had mixed aspects with small rooms and a dated feel, which made us question the value for money. Despite that, the service was exceptionally friendly and welcoming, creating a personal touch that stood out positively. The location was convenient for accessing the motorway, although wheelchair access had some challenges. Dining offered good options but lacked warmth in the ambiance. Overall, a decent stay with areas that could be improved.

The hotel was in a convenient location in Crewe, en route to Scotland, with fenced off grass areas around. The rooms were all ready for us and correct, but the lack of air conditioning made it quite cold, especially considering we had traveled from Australia and Singapore. The service was incredibly friendly and accommodating, particularly in the restaurant late in the evening for my daughter's allergies. The dining experience was good, although it was buffet style due to a wedding party. Overall, the hotel was excellent but could use improvements in the dining area.

I felt right at home in what appeared to be the stables portion of the original property, with very clean and comfy rooms close to the center of Crewe and the train station. Plenty of parking space and a small gym on-site were definite bonuses. The service was warm and professional, albeit a bit clearer communication about evening meal bookings would have been helpful. The modern and new appearance of the location suited our needs perfectly, though the wheelchair access was a bit awkward. The dining experience was of a good standard, especially the wedding meal, but it would be nice to have weekend breakfasts extend past 09.30. Overall, a solid choice with fresh Mediterranean dishes.
